Inpatient Acute Rehabilitation
Kettering Health Network's hospitals offer therapy services to patients who have suffered an illness or injury that results in not being able to do your everyday tasks. This could be a decline in your ability to move around, walk, talk, swallow, or get dressed. The type of therapy ordered by your doctor could include physical therapy, occupational therapy or speech language pathology. Our staff is highly skilled in many areas and works with the highest concern for your safety and return to doing the things that are important to you.
The therapy you receive during your hospital stay will be tailored to your needs. It will focus on working with you to improve your ability to care for yourself. Therapy will also work to prevent any complications. The therapists work closely with your medical team (physician, nursing, social worker) to provide ideas for therapy services when you leave the hospital. They will also help decide if you will need a walker, cane or any other equipment for your safety.
