This two- hour class is designed to teach caregivers how to massage patients. Studies have shown that massage can provide relief from common symptoms related to cancer and cancer treatment such as pain, nausea, anxiety, fatigue, and insomnia. This class gives family members and caregivers the opportunity to learn and practice safe, basic massage techniques. The skills learned in the class can be used in any setting to help comfort patients in any phase of cancer treatment or recovery.
This class costs $25 and includes a DVD instructional video, refreshments, and massage supplies.
