KC Graduates Working on the Frontlines of COVID-19
"I went to Kettering College because I wanted to make a difference in people's lives. I earned my degree in Respiratory Therapy partially because I have an asthmatic brother and grandparents who suffer with COPD. I would have never imagined being involved in a pandemic less than a year after graduation."
"I go to Kettering because of the compassion of the staff, and I know I'll get the best treatment. In the ER, they were caring, and they treated me like I was the only person there. The doctors went the extra step by finding out about all of my family history and running the right tests. That made all the difference to me."
"In life, it's best to surround yourself with people who push you, who want to help make you better than you are, who expect you to give your best and to be your best. These three women did that for me."
"As a physician assistant student at Kettering College, I have received a well-rounded education and numerous opportunities to grow as a healthcare professional. I take pride in going beyond what is expected so we can provide better care for our patients and our community. Receiving this scholarship shows that the Kettering community is proud of us, supports us, and believes in what we are doing as PA students. I am extremely humbled and express my sincerest gratitude for being awarded the Eva R. Miller Scholarship."
"The scholarship came at a time when I was in serious financial hardship. It was an answer to earnest prayer. It allowed me to continue with my classes, and to divide my focus solely between my family and my studies, instead of having to add employment in that split. Thank you for becoming a part of my success story!"
