Grandview to expand emergency department and hospital services

February 27, 2018

In anticipation of increased demand for emergency services in West Dayton, Grandview Medical Center is doubling the size of its Emergency Department and expanding select hospital services.

The expansion includes 10,400 square feet of remodeled space and 2,600 square feet of new, additional space. The number of Emergency Department exam rooms will double from 25 to 50.

The expected cost of the initial phase of the Emergency Department AND other hospital service expansion plans is approximately $25 million. Construction is expected to be completed this November.

The Grandview Board of Directors has voted to vacate the board room that they used for over 30 years, and to move Grandview administrative offices in order to accommodate the expansion.

“We have and will continue to invest in the West Dayton community,” says Roy Chew, president of Kettering Health Network. “As a faith-based healthcare provider, it is our sacred calling to accommodate our patients’ needs in this ever-changing healthcare environment.”

Danis Building Construction Company is managing the construction. Pinnacle Architects designed the new Emergency Department space.
