Support Groups & Education

The Kettering Health Network provides many different support groups and services - from cancer support to caring for an aging parent. Our support groups provide comfort, education, and resources to patients and their families. Learning about your cancer can be overwhelming and you may have many questions-we are here to help and talk about it with your care team and with the people close to you.

This is a 8-week scripture-based support group for anyone impacted by a cancer journey - whether personal, family, friend, or caegiver.

This group uses the Cancer Companoins materials designed by Karen Tripp, LFMT and is facilitated by trained Christian peer counselors who understand the difficulties of cancer.

The group provides a safe place to bring your concerns as well as the gifts of prayer, scripture, and devotionals. $10 suggested one-time donation for the workbook (couples can share)

This free class is for anyone newly diagnosed with breast cancer and includes an overview of breast cancer disease processes, treatment options, and resources such as certified oncology nurses, lymphedema therapist, wellness expert, breast cancer survivors, support groups, and more. Friends and family members are welcome. Advanced registration is required by calling Kettering Cancer Care 855-500-CURE (2873). PLEASE INDICATE IF YOU ARE ATTENDING IN-PERSON or ON-LINE (email address is required if registering for the on-line class).

3rd Wednesdays from 1:30-3PM, Grandview Medical Center, Rieck Community Room in the medical library 

Patients, survivors, and their families and friends are welcome. This free group includes guest speakers and discussion topics selected by the attendees as well as time to share and pray together.
