HFAP Comprehensive Stroke Certification

Rehabilitation and Support

Rehabilitation is an important aspect of stroke recovery. Kettering Health Network offers a comprehensive stroke program from diagnosis and treatment to recovery through specialized rehabilitation.

The first step in the recovery process of a stroke survivor is evaluation of prior function and goal setting. An individualized plan of care assists patients in reaching their recovery goals and addresses regaining physical, mental and speech capabilities.

The NeuroRehab and Balance Center offers patients intensive inpatient rehabilitation solutions to help them regain function, and evidence-based therapy and advanced technologies to help each stroke survivor reach their highest level of functioning and best quality of life.

Call (937) 401-6109 to discuss whether the NeuroRehab and Balance Center could be right for you.

Stroke Survivors Club

This group provides opportunities for stroke survivors to share their experience overcoming the effects of stroke. The group meets the fourth Wednesday of each month from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. in the Schuster Conference Center at Kettering Medical Center.

For more information on the Stroke Survivors Club call Megan Smith, stroke program coordinator, at (937) 395-8226.
