Sycamore Medical Center
The Wound Healing Center at Sycamore Hospital in Miamisburg is home to experienced wound care physicians. These specially trained doctors treat conditions that commonly lead to infection or amputation, and make it harder to get around.
Dr. Pilati is currently the medical director of the Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine Center at Sycamore Medical Center. He is board certified in emergency and hyperbaric medicine
Prior to his arrival, he was the medical director of Kettering Medical Center's Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine Center, formerly at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. He has served as a senior airman for the Medical Service Corps and as the department head of diving medicine in the United States Navy, as well as provided medical care in a level III Emergency Department. He completed his residencies at Wright State University School of Medicine and Kettering Medical Center. He earned his Doctor of Medicine at Wright State University School of Medicine.
Dr. Pilati has numerous memberships including, American College of Emergency Physicians, American Medical Association, American Osteopathic Association, Ohio Medical Association, Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine Society.
John Ewing, MD
Dr. Ewing is an emergency medicine physician, who also specializes in hyperbaric medicine. Dr. John Ewing has been practicing wound care and hyperbaric medicine since 2008 and has been with Kettering Health Network since 2009. Dr. Ewing completed his residency and earned his Doctor of Medicine at Ohio State University.
Dr. Gilkeson is a vascular surgeon. She is board certified by the American Board of Surgery as a General Surgeon and as Vascular and
Endovascular Surgeon with American Board of Surgery, Vascular Division. Dr. Gilkeson served as a general surgery resident at University of
Minnesota. She went on to complete her vascular and endovascular surgery fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. She
earned her Doctor of Medicine at Loma Linda University School of Medicine in California. Dr. Gilkeson is a Fellow of the American College
of Surgeons, and is a member of Association of Women Surgeons and Society of Vascular Surgery.
Dr. Fox is a general surgeon specializing in plastic surgery.
His training consisted of general surgery residency at Akron General Medical Center. He completed his plastic surgery residency at the University Of Tennessee in Chattanooga. Dr. Fox also completed two additional fellowships in surgery of the hand and aesthetic surgery at the University of Alabama, Birmingham. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
