Dr. Brown focuses on minimally invasive procedures. He was one of the first surgeons in Northern Kentucky to perform single site incision laparoscopic (SILS) cholecystectomy. His interest in bariatric
surgery began during his surgical residency at Marshall University. He continued to gain bariatric surgical experience in private practice through Advanced Surgical Care, PSC in Northern Kentucky.
In May 2011, he joined David Schumacher, MD, FACS at Kettering Bariatrics and the network's thriving bariatric program. Dr. Brown has participated in over 400 bariatric operations. He performs
laparoscopic roux-en-y gastric bypass, laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy and laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding.

A co-founder of the bariatric surgery program at Grandview Hospital and the director of bariatric surgery, Dr. Bruce has participated in over 3,000 bariatric cases. He served as chairman of the
department of surgery and was the program trainer from 1986 to 1990. Since 1983, Dr. Bruce has been a clinical and oral examiner for the American Osteopathy Board of Surgery. He is an assistant clinical
professor of surgery at Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is co-director of the Bariatric Surgery Clinic at Cassano Health Center.
