Adult Fitness

We care for athletes of all ages which is why Sports Medicine at Kettering Health Network includes several adult fitness programs to help you stay in the game whether you're 22 or 82. No matter your age or fitness level, our adult fitness programs for seniors, physical therapy patients, or athletes who are still going strong are available at several locations for different walks of life or areas of improvement.

FITT for Life

FITT for Life is a fitness program for seniors. This program is for any workout level. The exercises are demonstrated for both beginners and those looking for more of a challenge. The class meets 2 times a week for 6 weeks, with an optional third day. The program focuses on strength, balance, coordination, and flexibility. The purpose of the program is to ease the challenges of everyday living.

Metabolic Rate Evaluation

Understanding your metabolic rate can help you control your weight loss and gain, weight related health conditions, and identify balanced eating strategies. Our program features:

  • Use of the MedGem oxygen consumption device to determine metabolic rate and percent body fat
  • Review of your current physical activity, calorie intake, and nutritional needs
  • Detailed information explaining metabolic gap
  • Personalized plan of action including nutrition consultation, meal planning, and exercise goals

Get Moving, Get Fit

Get Moving, Get Fit is a 6-week injury prevention program for runners 16 years old and up. It includes strength training and circuit training as well as a nutritional consult.

Therapy 2 Fitness

Therapy 2 Fitness is for patients who have completed physical therapy and are continuing to work towards their fitness goals. We offer safe and professional training to ensure proper form and technique. Sessions go up to 60 minutes and are individualized one-on-one time with a licensed athletic trainer. The overall fitness training includes cardiovascular, flexibility, and strength components with an emphasis on core stability and areas of weakness. A dietary analysis is also included.
