How To Volunteer

• Hospital visits.
• Hospital sponsored events.
• Contact spiritual services for more information.

• Visit new patients and inform them of spiritual care services.
• Listen and pray with patients as requested.
• Make referrals to chaplains when needed.
• Volunteers may have regular days and units that they visit.

• Crocheted prayer shawl.
• Chemo hats.
• Donate baby loss bears.
• Make cookies.
• Assist with set up for our memorial services.
• Assemble grief packets and fold bulletins.
• Give funds for topical literature such as grief, loss, crisis needs, and items for emergency layettes.

• Christmas baskets-Assembling and distributing to families.
• Easter Baskets -Assembling and giving baskets to eight area agencies: Kettering Behavioral Services, Artemis House, YMCA shelter, Daybreak youth shelter, House of Bread, Erma Bombeck House, St. Vincent's homeless shelter, and Gateway Men's House. Project is done the Mon evening and Tue 9-5 of the week before Easter.

• Held twice a year for remembering those who have died in our facilities.
• Need help with refreshments, greeting people, folding and giving out bulletins, and setting up tables and chairs.
• Instrument playing and vocalists are also welcome to volunteer.
• Service is held at the Miamisburg Seventh-day Adventist Church.

• Need volunteers to give communion to our Catholic patients.
