Senior Behavioral Care

There are many factors that can affect the physical, mental and emotional well-being of an older adult. Major life changes or medical conditions can trigger emotional conditions that may require hospitalization.

Kettering Health Network's Senior Behavioral Care at Grandview Medical Center offers a medical and psychiatric care program in a comforting environment. Our program focuses on the strengths of every patient. With a 98% satisfaction rate, we utilize current mental health techniques to help patients improve their coping skills and assist in resolving issues that are impacting them on a regular basis.

We pledge to provide you with the highest quality of care in a comforting environment, where you will be treated with respect and dignity.

Why We Are Different

As a faith-based organization, we understand the importance of treating patients as a whole-mind, body, and spirit. We have the benefit of being part of a larger hospital versus a stand-alone psychiatric facility, which allows us to utilize medical specialists as needed. This helps the patient become medically stable faster and less likely to be readmitted.

Medical Services may include:

  • Neurology
  • Wound Care
  • Cardiology
  • Respiratory

For admission and referral or more information, please call:

(937) 723-4568 (Coordinator)
(937) 723-4515 (After 5 pm)

All inquiries and referrals are strictly confidential.

Our Coordinator is on-call 24/7 with onsite assessments available (we go where you need us).

Our patient-and-family-centered approach focuses on whole-person treatment. Patients receive medical and psychiatric evaluation and treatment, as well as medication management, individual, family, and group counseling. The typical length of stay is 10 to 14 days. The treatment plans we create are individualized and involve a team approach that focuses on patient strengths.

We understand that this can be a very difficult time for the patients and families that we serve, and that change in environment can be scary and unsettling. We pride ourselves in knowing that we provide comprehensive care for every patient.
