- Difficult or painful latching
- Nipple or breast pain during or after nursing
- Baby eating less than 8 times in a 24 hour period & less than 10 minutes per feeding
- Baby not having yellow & seedy bowel movements and 6-8 wet diapers per day by day 5
- Noticing a lack of milk production
- Breasts should feel full before feedings and softer after feedings
- Baby is not swallowing frequently while feeding
