What's the best way to find open positions?

You may find our list of open positions by clicking on the "Potential Employees" link on the Human Resources home page. You will then be able to browse all of our jobs, or search for specific openings.

Can I submit a general application or resume without applying to a specific job?

In order to be considered for employment, you must complete an application for a specific job. We do not have the ability to accept general applications.

What do I do if I can't find the job I'm looking for? How often do your job listings change?

Our job board is updated daily as new positions are opened and old ones filled. If you do not see a position of interest to you, you may visit the website again in a few days or a few weeks to see what new positions are available.

What does my application status mean?

  • Not Reviewed: A Recruiter has not reviewed your application for consideration
  • Incomplete Application: One or more of the required sections on the application are incomplete. Your application will not be considered until the information is added.
    • In order to complete your application, please log into your profile. You will then be able to go through the application and complete any missing information.
  • Being Reviewed: Your qualifications meet the requirements for the position and your application has been given to the hiring manager.
  • Phone or Onsite Interview: The hiring manager would like to schedule an interview and will contact you at the phone number you provided.
  • Considered for Another Position: There is a similar position within the network for which a manager is considering you.

I'm having problems creating my application profile. What am I doing wrong?

Each section of the application process has required fields that must be entered. They are marked with an asterix. If that section is not completed, you will not be permitted to move on to the next section.

I was just hired for a position. Why do I need a physical?

A physical is required so that we are aware of any physical limitations you may have so that we can provide reasonable accommodations if needed.

When will I get a call about my application?

You will receive notifications via email regarding your application status and we will also update your status on your profile. Not all candidates receive a phone call for follow-up.

Can I call and schedule an interview or speak with a manager?

The hiring manager for the position for which you applied will contact you if they would like to speak with you about the position. Not all candidates are contacted.

I've never worked in healthcare before, do you need experience to work at Kettering Health Network?

Previous experience varies based on the position. Not all positions require previous healthcare experience or education. The job description posted for the job will list what experience or education (if any) is required.

How do I remove an old resume from my profile?

Why does my manager need to know I have applied?

It is important for your current manager to receive notification, so they can provide a reference and also prepare to replace your position.

Once I have transferred, how long do I have to wait before I can apply to transfer again?

Once you have transferred, you must wait at least a year prior to being eligible to transfer again.

Are internal candidates given preference when being considered for an opening?

Qualified internal candidates are given preference when reviewing applications. However, the best candidate (internal or external) will be selected.

Once I have been offered the position, when will I be released for transfer?

Your current manager will work with HR to determine your transfer date based on the staffing needs of your current unit. Most likely it will be within two pay periods.

If I transfer between organizations will I have to go through orientation again?

It will depend on the type of position you are going into. Your HR department will work with you on an orientation schedule if needed.

Can I transfer if I have had disciplines?

You are still able to transfer. The hiring manager will review your information and make a determination as to whether they would like to proceed. If selected any disciplinary actions will transfer to the new department.

Can I transfer to another department even if there is not a position posted online?

In order to be considered for transfer, you must complete a transfer request online for a specific job.
