At Grandview's Cassano Health Center, the medically underserved in the Dayton community are provided comprehensive health care. Every patient who enters our doors is treated with respect, dignity and the highest quality medical care regardless of their ability to pay for treatment. Our patients are encouraged to enter into an ongoing relationship with a primary care provider, stimulating a cycle of wellness for them and their families. Importantly, the Cassano Health Center reduces the number of visits our patients make to Emergency Departments across the Miami Valley.

Cassano is home base for Grandview's Osteopathic Family Practice Residency, and offers a superb physician teaching staff and graduate medical education training. In addition to family practice, patients also have access to specialty clinics staffed by osteopathic residents in specialties ranging from internal medicine to vascular surgery.

The combination of specialty clinic support, ancillary services, and social work/interpreter services make Cassano unique - providing a clinical setting to which the poor typically do not have access, while also training a new generation of physicians to be sensitive to the needs of this vulnerable population.

Convenient Patient Access

At Cassano, in addition to scheduled appointments, walk-in hours are available to make access easier for our patients. Health care, work and family obligations are difficult to balance, and it's not simple to predict when you'll need a doctor. Patients can be seen Monday - Thursday from 8am-5pm and Fridays from 8am-Noon.

One-Stop Shop

Cassano is a one-stop shop for primary and specialty care for the underserved in Dayton. On-Site Services include: Full-service Pharmacy, Lab Services, X-ray, Social Worker and Financial Counselor, and Diabetes Education and Smoking Cessation Classes.

Plus Specialists

Grandview physicians and residents provide Specialty Care Clinics for patients on a regular basis. Referrals and appointments with specialists are available to Cassano patients. No other health clinic in Dayton provides specialty care to the underserved. Clinics include: Internal Medicine; Cardiology; Neurology; OB/GYN, Pediatrics, Orthopedics; Vascular Surgery; Nephrology; Urology; Bariatric Surgery and General Surgery.

Annually the Foundation hosts the Eagle Seekers Classic and Memorial Gala whose proceeds benefit Cassano Health Center. Over the next several years, an Oncology fellowship at Grandview Hospital will be endowed over the next several years. The Marcy Mills Oncology Fellow will provide physician services for an oncology clinic at Cassano, along with cancer prevention and screening for patients.

Growing Hispanic Population

To handle an increasing patient load from the Hispanic community, Cassano employs a full-time Spanish language interpreter. The interpreter helps Cassano Health Center's Spanish-speaking patients negotiate through registration forms, appointments with physicians, follow up care, and return visits to the clinic.

Support the Cassano Health Center

Corporate support of the Cassano Center is critical to continue providing comprehensive healthcare services to the underserved in the Dayton community. The Grandview Foundation, a 501c(3) tax exempt charity (31-1649591), accepts donations of any kind to help underwrite charity care and medication assistance provided by the Cassano Clinic.
