Dear Dr. Bellus, The first time that I heard you talk about retiring I was a new employee at Grandview in October of 2004. Since then I have watched you care for patients and speak with their families and I have always been impressed with your passion, care and brilliance. It has been a long time and while you are almost there- you are not quite to retirement yet and I know that is because you truly care about your patients. You mentioned once that it is human nature to quickly forget those who move away or leave jobs- that people fall back into the same routine no matter what. That statement is the ONLY one that I heard from you that is wrong. You are right about everything that you have ever spoken about except that. You will not be forgotten. I think of you every day that I help to get a patient out of bed first thing in the morning and O2/vent walk throughout the day. Staff talks about how you go above and beyond to make sure patients are safe before you leave for the night every time we have a 'near code' or newly vented patient on our hands. Dr. Bellus you don't give yourself anywhere NEAR the credit you are due. I truly hope that you believe what I am saying because it is, and will always be the truth. You've touched and saved many lives because you care when others may not. You have inspired many nurses, respiratory therapists (and nursing assistants!) to work in a way that is best for the patients. Here's to hoping you can have a great life with your family when you retire! I will miss you and I know a great many others who will miss you also, but you deserve to live a happy life!!!! Thank you! DR. SCHUSTER BEING MY FATHERS DOCTOR, TOLD DR. DEWALL THE HEART SURGION, WHAT HAD TO BE DONE,
IT WAS A PROCEDURE THAT HAD NEVER BEEN PERFORMED BEFORE. DR. DEWALL CONSTRUCTED A DEVICE CALLED A BUBBLE OXYGENATOR. TO SUPPLY BLOOD TO THE BRAIN WHILE HE [DR. DEWALL] REMOVED THE HEART AND REMOVED APPROX. 28 PERCENT OF MY FATHERS HEART THAT WAS IN SCAR TISSUE, THAT IS WHAT DR. SCHUSTER TOLD DR. DEWALL HE HAD TO DO. AND WITH GREAT SKILL AND MAGICAL HANDS THESE TWO DOCTORS GAVE MY FATHER NOT ONLY THE 15 YEARS THEY ESTIMATED, BUT MY FATHER IS STILL MOWING HIS OWN YARD TODAY, WITH MOM WATCHING HIM. THANKS AGAIN DR. I want to thank Dr. Percy for saving my life. I have been going to Dr. Percy since 2005 for skin checks. In 2009, I saw him for an unusual mole on my neck, but he was more concerned about one on my right shoulder blade. He removed it and during the biopsy, it was discovered that it was Stage 1 Melanoma. He called me into his office (instead of telling me over the phone) on April 22nd and already had surgery scheduled for the very next day. I will never be able to thank him enough.

Your patients feel like you are part of their family, they all know you care about them in a very special way, you take the time to make them comfortable and valued. You have a big heart and each of your patients know that. When the time is needed to spend a few extra minutes with each of them. you do that. When a patients is in the hospital and in the process of passing away you stay with them as long as it is necessary, all night at times. You watch over them in the hospital after their surgeries, checking on them during the day and night. The wonderful stories they have told me is heartwarming, you are indeed a wonderful, special person in each of their lives. and all of your patients want you to know that. They care about you and what has and will happen in your life. Through out all of this, you have stayed a humble, simple man and you only wants to take care of your patients and learn to enjoy live and the sunshine that that follows.
Your staff also thinks you rock. Doing the right thing, taking care of the people around you and watching you grow into the person that is so careing about others. Now don't get a big head, just smile and enjoy that sunshine and the ride that life has to offer you.

My first encounter with Dr. Fuentes was as an E.R. employee at Kettering when I paged Dr. F. for an E.R. consult. My second encounter was when Dr. F. evaluated my son for a tonsilectomy, which was performed back in October. My third encounter was for the care of my younger sister that was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. My sister was scheduled for surgery for a thyroidectomy. She was at the hospital and when it came time to go in for the surgery, she had a terrible panic attack. Dr. Fuentes showed compassion. He had her to reschedule. She went in to see Dr. F. the day before her rescheduled sugery, which was today, and she told me that Dr. Fuentes was so calming and caring. He had her scheduled for an early appointment and took her in quite soon after she arrived. (I feel that this was so she would not have time to panic) I am so impressed with Dr. Fuentes caring spirit. He truly exemplifies patient care. He does better than ROCK, He is a HERO as I feel he rescued my sister from her fear of surgery. A huge Thank you to Dr. Fuentes. You have all my respect and fondness.

I could not in good conscious leave this second chemo treatment without acknowledging the outstanding support from Deanna. She was the person who, on 16 Feb 12, proposed and configured the ostemy bag on the 15 Jan surgery incision after it dehissed; a novel approach since acknowledged by doctors and nurses to be a clever solution. During this stay, she converted the wound to a Dakins packing and wet to dry dressing to address the necratic tissue at the now 3cm dehissing site and the 7cm tunnel up the incision also with netratic material. She demonstrated and taught the wife and I how to do this twice a day activity. Her upbeat, gentle, instructive, and professional demeanor showed great credit to herself and KMH. WE are extatic to have her helping us.

As we all here at gvh/svh know Dr. Bellus is the best doctor in the world. He is one of the smartest people I have ever met. He has taken incredible care of me personally as well as my parents. They have both passed on but alwaysl expressed how much they loved Dr. Bellus. My dad only saw him a few times but always commented to me how he appreciated how loud Dr. Bellus talked so he could hear him easily. My mom on the other hand had been a patient of Dr. Bellus before he was even a pulmonologist. In her last hospitalization she told him she had known him a long time and never had a hug. He gave her a hug. You have to know Dr.

I cannot recommend Dr. Banias highly enough. God blessed our family so much when I was in a very high risk pregnancy. I was sent to Dr. Banias, and if it wasn't for his care, my son (now 5) would not be here today. He took extraordinary measures that other doctors in the area would not have to stop the preterm labor I was having. It was a long 5 months of bedrest, but with his care and the care of his staff, I had a healthy baby boy with no complications. Please keep him in mind if you are looking for an OB/GYN. I often tell folks I meet, that I wish Dr. Banias was a family practitioner, because I would bring my whole family to him! He has a great sense of humor and he is a Christian. We absolutely recommend him with no hesitation!

Dr A Soin,
7 years ago I was bitten in my right forearm by a cat. The massive infection and the crushing trauma of the bite resulted in RSD (Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy) Also known Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) Two years after that cat bite. I had some scar tissue in my right thigh that needed to be removed. I work up in recovery in massive pain to find out down the road that the RSD had also developed in that area too.
After years of being treated with any and all kinds of treatments. from many different doctors that gave up on my case due to the complicated case i was. Heard of a Awesome Pain Management Doctor that was very aggressive not afraid of anything and was up to a new challenge. I sent Dr. A Soin an email letting him know my history and tons of records and he agreed to meet with me. Then to treat me.
April of last year I was wheelchair bound most of the time. With in a months of treatment by Dr Soin I was up walking little by little. with all the procures and implants for pain management we have done over the last year I have improved 80% of what I was the day I went in for my first visit. and improving more every day. Thanks to the kindness, caring and awesome bed side manner of this wonderful man Dr. Soin. He has given me a reason to wake up every day and push myself to get better and to fight as hard as I can to control this chronic neurological syndrome and not let it control me.
This Syndrome has not only effected me. But my whole family and friends. With Dr. Soin also working with my family they have more of an in site to what to aspect at all times and every change I go through in the process. He has been a Blessing to not only me but my family too. We could never thank him enough for what he has done. My Doc Rocks!!!!

By getting her in quickly with such a busy schedule, and giving her the injection for her hip pain, it made her recovery there so much faster.
