About Diabetes

• Type 1
  When a person is diagnosed with Type 1, insulin injections are required.

  This is the most common type of diabetes. This patient may manage their diabetes through nutrition, activity, oral medications and /or insulin.
  
  
• Gestational
  Some women may get his type of diabetes during pregnancy. It usually goes away after childbirth.
